Unequal Deposit but 50/50 repyaments

Hi,
My partner and I (unmarried) are looking to purchase our first house in the near future. My partner will paying a much larger proportion of the deposit.
We plan to split the repayments 50/50.
We are looking at having a Deed of Trust. However, I am unsure what is the best way to do this. Essentially she just wants her initial deposit protected. Would it simply be a case of having the DOT state that in the event of sale, she would get her deposit back and I would get mine. Everything else will be split 50/50. However she loses out by having no return on her initial investment if we sell the house for more than we bought it. If this is the case, are we still joint owners of the house (50/50) but the DOT just means we get our exact deposits back if we sell?
My concern is if she owns more of the house than me but we are paying 50/50 on the repayments, surely I lose out on the sale. To prevent this, what would be the best scenario where neither of us lose out (or at least neither of use loses out significantly more than the other). Thanks!

The only issue you might have is if the house sells for less than you paid - hence probably wanting a stipulation that you each get proportional shares of the equity, minus any fees, up until the amount you put down for the deposit then the remainder being split equally.

    For example:
    House purchased £100k - Deposit 10k = 7k:3k respective deposit contributions

    1. House sells for £100k with 2k fees = equity of 8k = she gets £5600 vs your £2400

    2. House sells for £150k with 2k fees and 10k paid off mortgage = equity of £68k = She gets £7k, you get £3k and you both get £29k from the remaining equity.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Goal: Keep the bigger picture in mind...
