Hi Folks

Do any of you hate driving?

I think there is a government campaign to encourage people to use public transport more often.  Do you know much about it or are you involved in the campaign in any way?

Thanks

My nearest bus stop is five miles away. Except for one bus each way on a Wednesday, from only a mile away.
My nearest railway station is twenty miles away.

Tell me again how I should use public transport more often?

I have just changed jobs, I used to be a service engineer for the last 30 years, I’ve driven over most of the north of England, it never used to bother me, until the company I worked for were taken over, the mileage dropped a little but they had deadlines to meet, so sitting in traffic really started to grate, now I only drive 18 miles a day in total, yes I don’t have a company van anymore, but I don’t have a tracker or camera fitted ( apart from my dash cam) so less stress, I still enjoy driving for pleasure but it doesn’t usually matter what time you leave or arrive at your destination

Or rather some of them, and the fact that there are seemingly an increasing percentage  of that "some"

Me too. That's why I got a Morris minor. Might as well have an interesting car to encourage me to drive it when needed!

There's even a fun electric conversion for that!

We should be getting a modern electric car soon. If that goes well then a Moggy conversion is certainly a possibility in the future :)
