 is it just me? we booked with pontins for new year was gutted cause we went away with them in the summer and if we had booked the new year break at the same time it would have been half price it cost £436 for 2 apartments (so half price would have been a real bargain) so not to get caught out next year we decided we will go in summer and next new year too cause they have same offer on you get it half price so rang for a quote to see how much new year would be and it was £436 said to the woman is that half price with booking in the summer she said yes i said oh thats the same price as this year she said that i got it reduced this year to i said i never so it seems that they are not really half price at all just over inflated to look half price is it just me

You might want to try using a few full stops - makes things easier to read.0

They are all up to tricks like this you reallly have got to watch the trick of inflated pricesPosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Actually Andy, try reading it again with your listening head on ... it strangely hangs together quite wellYou might want to try using a few full stops - makes things easier to read.
I am quite amazed how English Grammar has dropped off the necessaries. Seriously. Being a good egg is far more important. Last night I was asked to check some English work by an ESOL student and found myself Googling for the difference between due to and owing to. The new PC rule for that old chestnut is forgeddaboudit!!
So that's what I do now. If a piece of writing gets your interest (and the OP's does in a light-footed way) then that's a good piece of writing, and yous better believe it i do

so what your saying is, if you are unable to read and write correctly, do not bother coming onto this site because you are just going to get criticised for it. I thought this was for everyone i can read and write but did not think this was an english exam if that is all you have to worry about other peoples grammar then get a life!!!!0

It took a bit of working out but I think what the OP's saying is that she (?) went to Pontin's twice in one year – New Year and Summer – and later found out that if she booked the two breaks at the same time, she would get the New Year's one half price. However it looks as though the New Year's break is £436 regardless of when she books it.
My take on the thing (for what it's worth!) would be that since she has only ever paid £436 for the New Year's break, she hasn't actually LOST any money (just fallen prey to booking two breaks instead of one). I've never been to Pontin's but 2 apartments for £436 doesn't seem too extortionate... but maybe that's just me!
Perhaps if the OP writes to Pontin's to complain, and point out that their half price booking is only a myth, she may get money off this time around?!If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0 -

No, but the point is that if you write something you need to consider the reader and make it as easy as possible to understand what you are saying. It is just a matter of taking a little trouble yourself in order to communicate effectively: a question of good manners really.0 -
forgive the obvious but if unhappy with pontins, then try haven instead

...that's extremely harsh. You posted on here in order to get people to help you, yet your post was extremely difficult to read. When asking for assistance it's basic politeness to make your posts as readable as possible. To ask for someone's help and then burden them with having to work hard to read the post is an unfair transfer of responsibility.0
