Signed up with hidenda over a year ago for ppi. Constantly receiving letters for over a year. Now I keep getting them requiring a joint signature for a loan I can't even remember having. If it was joint its 20 years ago and I have no contact with this person at all. The problem I've got is they are threatening I will be liable for charges if I don't get the signature but I never asked them to persue anything joint. Can any1 help? Can I get charged for something I never asked them to do? Thanks.

They cannot threaten you over something you have no control over. That would be an unfair contract term.
The good news is that as of April last year, claims companies are now subject to the same complaints process as the banks. So, all you need to do is make a complaint to them. if they reject your complaint, you can refer it to the FOS.2
