Holiday Search Engine

I am looking to book a package holiday for May 2020.

Obviously I have a few requirements as there are a few of us going, but I was just wondering what people thought the best site to book through was.
The ones I have looked at are:-

Onethebeach
Loveholidays
Jet2

They all have their own pro and cons as one will include bags at the beginning, one will let you choose how many rooms you want to book, one will let you choose how close you want to be to the beach etc.
We basically want:-

2 rooms, or a 2 bed apartment,
All inclusive
Close to beach
Some slides or aquapark

Not sure where, but with kids, not sure I fancy a long flight.  Flight will preferably be from a London airport.

I just wondered if there was one that people prefer for ease of choosing what you want (or if there is another site out there even easier with more filters to choose from) that I haven't heard of.

  • We have used Tui for our last two holidays.

remember you'll have less joy in your life

...but still have the same amount of snow!

With your with your criteria it might be worth looking at First Choice.

Thanks.  Am looking up those two now.  I've noticed free child places which is interesting.  We are 3 adults (me and parents) and my two children, so this might be a good thing to look into.

  • Easy jet now also sell holidays - I booked our hotel through Expedia - some good deals to be had (especially if you get cashback) if you can be flexible.

I would choose a travel company that's reputable - ideally one that is also an airline or Expedia companies. If you want to do all inclusive type packages sometimes it's cheaper to book separately, but you don't get the ATOL protection. But if you book flights AND hotels on Expedia/ebookers (in the same booking I think?) for example you will be covered by ATOL.

I personally wouldn't trust onthebeach or love holidays as they're middlemen and you don't get as good value. Your rooms may be the cheapest/less desirable rooms, whereas if you book with Jet2/Tui.etc they will have a wider selection of rooms at their hotels assigned to them - and therefore you may get a nicer room/location of room.

I personally book flights direct then my hotels separately - but that's my choice, everyone's different.

And don't forget the travel insurance AS SOON AS YOU BOOK AND PAY. Just in case there are any issues/companies goes bust/airline cancels flights/hotel burns down.etc

Jet2holidays let you filter by these but whoever you end up finding the holiday with dont forget to post it in the Beat My Quote! Travel Agents Thread here on MSE - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/509598/beat-my-quote-travel-agents-thread/p633 to see if any of the agents on there can save you ay money
