Building Surveyor and independent damp/timber surveyor recommendation in Manchester/Stockport Area

Hello all,
Does anyone have experience of a good building surveyor for a residential purchase in the Manchester/Stockport area? And/or a good independent damp surveyor?
I'm after a full building survey and guess I could go with any building surveyor that comes up on a RICS search but thought it was worth asking if other forum users have any particular recommendations.
For the damp survey I am contemplating heritage consulting as per another post I put up the other week but the cost may not be manageable for me.
