Lisa - it is not the cheat's way out! I'm sure you and your OH love each other very much, but maybe it is time you sat down and looked at your finances as a family.
I know from personal experience - we needed stuff, so I bought it - I ended up with debt and my OH was oblivious. It was too difficult to discuss it.
For the future, look at dividing your expenses fairly along the lines of how much you earn, not just straight down the middle. Why do you pay for everything to do with the children?0 -
He has agreed to pay my debts.
Just like that.
I am in shock!

I basically said that he has loads of moneyu & although it good to hae funds for a rainy day, he has LOADS.
I said we will be together another 40 odd years at least & it makes sense.
So he has agreed.
Need to get exact figure from cahoot to clear the loan. Then will get it all paid off.
I know it seems like a cheats way out but when we got together neither of us had a penny to our name & I supported him for 4 years in the middle east where he went for work having to sacrifice any hopes of getting on in my career. Then when we came back I was PG with dd.

I'm really pleased for you! Starting with a clean slate you can have fun making sure you never get in a similar state again - now you have loads of MSE type ideas at your fingertips. Good luck!Resolution:

I know! With my money saving tips & shall be well off!
I feel so much better now!
I have learnt my lesson about spending spending spending.
Trouble was, when I very 1st did it, I mean started with the cc that is now my loan, I was very depressed. I went into Next with my 2 kids & bought a load of clothes for them. I just picked what I wanted for them, I didn't check any prices & when I paid for them I felt so happy.
I think ther is a link between a persons mental health & mindless spending.
Mentally I am still stark raving bonkersbut I have a hold over my purse strings now.
