Brand new Ideal boiler noisy

We had an Ideal Logic Max combi installed this week. Went with it despite Ideal's poor past rep because we were told they had improved enormously, were very quiet (my major concern) and come with 10 yr warranty, parts and labour.
But it is actually very noisy (see below for details)
Installer is coming back today to look at it. It is in a new location, secured to a solid external wall.
I would really appreciate any wisdom anyone can offer that might help:
Questions:
1) What should I ask the installer to check to ensure it isn't an installation error or actual boiler fault?
2) Am I just expecting too much? Are all boilers noisy now?
3) Will building a cupboard around it help at all?
4) Have I just been duped by the hype and Ideal are still as bad as they were? Should suck up the cost and pay £2K to get rid of it and get a different boiler and get my usual plumber to install it? (new boiler installed by builder's plumber)
5) I'm assuming Ideal won't care, but if I contact them about it, what could I ask for? At the moment I want a full refund. Boiler purchased from Screwfix.
6) If noise is my main concern, what boiler should I have got?
It really is the most unpleasant boiler we've ever had. Hums, whines, can hear it all over the house and I have to wear earplugs during the day to stop me taking an axe to it or my own head. Builder tells me it isn't that noisy and a cupboard will help. But the whole point is that Ideal say it is quiet not that it 'isn't that noisy'. The thing that bemuses me is that there is hardly any variation in noise - I am used to boilers being a noisier when they initially fire up then quieting down, but this is constantly the same. It's like a normal boiler loud wooshing noise on first fire up except it only stops when you actually turn the boiler off , plus a creaky whining hummmmmmmmmmmm...
Old boiler was limping along and cost us £200 in Dec. We have had the kitchen gutted and replastered and the new boiler installed. I have not yet thrown out the old one though. Maybe it could be put back? It was hard to tell that it was even on without going and standing right next to it. When it fired up, it just sort of purred, then nothing much.

I have a logic max.I also have fitted lots, along with the vogue. They really are a quiet boiler, the vogue more so. I’d be looking at installation issues first.1

Thank you - I asked him to check the installation but I was told I'm wrong and it is really quiet and sounds exactly like every other boiler he has installed, but why was my old Worcester so much quieter? I get that the loudest noise it makes may be an acceptable level, but it makes it all the time not just initially, there's no break from it. It appears to be the fan that's the main source Do you think Ideal will come out and check the installation for me? I have another plumber I trust, would it be worth asking them to have a look? Or once a boiler is installed is that it, not much you can do?0

Logics are just crap as you have found outI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I've recently had a Worcester Bosch 30i installed in my attic and it's definitely noisier than the old boiler ( a Biasi). It's one of those sounds that once you notice it, gets on your last nerve. As far as I can tell it's been installed correctly.(Nearly) dunroving0
