Dorma Extension

Options
We've had a quote for a dorma extension. Around 17k which I am happy with but we fear that it may need new floor joists too.
Has anyone ever had this done and know how much it costs? I've been onto to the builder for a quote but just thought I'd ask on here too.
Mum to 13year old triplets, just trying to save the pennies.
I'm a saver not a spender.
Mortgage Free: Dec 23 - Age 38. £112500 gone in 11 1/2 years.

If you mean a Dormer extension, it seems reasonable. Have you tried to get at least 3 separate quotes? If new building might require additional floor joists/support.
