Morning all,Still a bit nervous about this forum, I seem to get anxious about everything these days though. I'm only just getting used to using a mouse with my laptop, as the problem was a sticking button which wanted to move or highlight things when it pleasedThe sun is shining and the birds ( and squirrels ! ) have been fed. Our DGS is coming up this afternoon and staying for a sleepover tonight, so I had to go out yesterday for " rations " ready for tonight's film session. I expect our DGD will book herself in at some time soon tooWe are due storm Ciara tonight and into Sunday so I don't think Dad will come over tomorrow if it's really bad. Mind you the DGS won't mind staying a couple of extra days if the school is closed either !. He will probably only go home when all the food is eatenNot much happening on the OS front today sorry, just a bit of pottering about.taff sorry I didn't reply to your question about the review, the new forum threw me. Anyway it was "can you do without your meds ? Do you know the side effects ? " Then about 100 lifestyle questions, most likely tick boxes for our health board. About smoking, alcohol levels, diet preferences etc. TBH I came out sounding like Mother Teresa
I did come clean about eating some chocolate though !
TA I hope the vet can sort out your Sparkles.Take care all, hugs to those in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Dry and cold, there is a bit of a breeze, the sun is trying to break through; dreading the forecast storm tonight, especially if the power lines come down, we are all electric. I will be filling two flasks before we go to bed tonight just in case. At least we will get hot coffee if nothing else.
.
OH is about to go out into the garden for a short while, lots of little jobs need going.
We had a good result from the dentist, we managed to establish that the plate that had been sent back was not OH's. His had a piece of wire in the plate, it was the remains of a clip which clipped round a tooth he had to have removed last year. The plate was someone else's. After a number of calls the practice agreed to make a new plate, so a second set of impressions were required. He hopes to get the new plate next Friday. The practice will bear the cost. I suspect they will not pay the lab.
Need to take belly pork out for tomorrow, OH is still on nursery food for another week, he did manage fish and chips last night. Just cannot chew roasted meat. No idea whats for tonights supper.

Hi everyone
Tried using new forum on internet explorer but the writing is mixed up with sentences on top of each other and unreadable.
Works fine on Microsoft edge ….but leaving a space between my lines! has anyone else had problems?

Good afternoon all, I'm late today,We went out just after 9 this morning, quite a few little things to see to, and I did an Al*i shop while we were out.Camelot, enjoy your time away.TA, poor little Sparkle, hope she'll be ok.I've been cooking, got a large batch of bolognese in large slow cooker and steak and kidney in the small one, we'll have that for tea tomorrow. I always think steak and kidney is nicer the day after cooking. It's dry and fine here, but cold. and the wind is getting up. Hope we survive the storm!! going to hit us all I think.Take care everyone, don't get blown away7

Morning all,
Dry here but very windy, have only been out to the bin so far, need to go vote at some stage, also need to get some cash as cleaned out my purse to pay for new radiator in downstairs bathroom.
Have now voted, picked up medication for February, only €99 as some meds not needed for this month and replenished my cash purse. OH cooked a nice mixed grill which will leave us all set for the rest of the day.
Take care everybody, allegedly you are going to have a worse bashing than us, so stay in and keep warm.......we have had some roof damage which has convinced me that I need to bite the bullet and replace the roof, at least on the old part of the house.
