This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or SLOW internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

The weather is a bit cloudy but dry today.
We are off out - we are probably going to go to Bingo - not been for 11 years to this place.  Me and the OH decided we should venture out more . We do go out for meals and days out .

Good morning everyone  
Thanks for starting us off I_love_comps. It's a nice morning here although the forecast storm is supposed to make it's presence known this evening. I shall batten down the hatches and keep the kettle going. Phoebe has left for work and Lee is fast asleep. No sign of Lilly for the past few days, I am assuming she is fine. Steve is munching his breakfast VERY LOUDLY but he did make me a lovely cup of tea so he is forgiven  .
Today I am waiting for a delivery of fruit and salad from a local fella who has promised me a big box for a tenner. My friend has them and assures me it is good value for money so I hope so. I have eaten like a complete piggy for the last few days so this is my attempt to get back on the straight and narrow. 
No visitors today which is quite nice as it means I can stay in my pj's. The kids want to make sushi this afternoon so that is what we will be up to.

Good morning and thank you for starting today's thread Comps.
I have finally managed to reset my password but was on the point of giving up and rejoining.  Now that I'm here I don't have much to say. But my old tablet was on the brink of death and a friend has very kindly given me another one so am getting used to it as well as the new look.  Any posts from me with even worserer typing can now be blamed on that especially punctuation because the keyboard is a bit different.
A dull day here, must go.out and feed the birds, they are looking at the birdtable

Morning everyone, missed you all.
I'm in The Hague for a few days, weather ok at the moment but rain expected later. Going out to a market today then to DS2s gfs mums for some pottery experience and dinner.

Morning folks and thanks ILC. Mild this morning after yesterday's severe frost which kept it bitter cold all day. Not looking forward to tomorrow's promised weather!

Back at the vets yesterday with my poor little Sparkle. After the a'b,s, which cleared her poorly skin on the chin problem, it is now back again. The vet wants her in for a biopsy on Wednesday. He doesn't suspect it's anything sinister but wants to be sure it is an allergy they are dealing with. As the problem has travelled with her through her first owner (who neglected her), the foster carer and now me, he suspects it is house dust mite but that isn't easily solved. Poor little puss cat.

If I can make the effort I want to pop into town this morning. A few odds and sods are needed. Nothing vital if I CBA!! 

I'm still not sure about this new set up, but I don't like change! Hope some of our MIA find their way back to us as they have been missed.  Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need or want of them. Take care all xx

Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
DH watching catchup tv, I've just finished my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here, DS1 still in his pit, he rolled in during the early hours, so not expecting to see him anytime soon, DS2 settled and happy.

Dinner last night was pie and chips for the menfolk, I had fishcakes and salad.  Tonight we'll be having southern fried chicken, pizza, skinny chips and salad with coleslaw.

Hello im gradually getting used to the new set up although its very hard on the eyes for those of us with disabilities. I had the same problem with logging out too.
OS well the washing is whirring with Molly dog overnight bedding bless her she does have her accidents but she is 16 so is expected, DH going shopping, I did some housework yesterday just waiting for one of my men to mess it all up - why do we bother.

Thanks ILC.Nice and bright here too ( for now) I'm not sure what we're up to today...DGS has been off school so not sure if he'll come,DGD been away.DH hasnt been feeling great the last few days, pulled a muscle in his back, and been having vertigo too.We shall see. I might play with the new wool I got yesterday.

Molly, I agree, I find it a bit hard on the eyes too, not enough contrast possibly.

Camelot, ooh enjoy The Hague, bet it's interesting.
