Since gaining a Law degree and a CILEx qualification, and setting up my legal advice company, private parking issues only account for about 10% of my caseload.
The old 'green skin' of the forum was quick and easy to use, and I could pop in an out to post a new topic, or reply on someone's thread. This version is a retrograde step, and this seems like an opportunity to say, Goodbye, and Thanks For All The Fish.
I shan't be posting any further on here, and wish all the regulars good luck with fighting the scams.
I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

That's a real shame BP your Posts have helped many people on here! I am sure we will bump into each other in the future off here !bargepole said:I've been a Forum member for some 14 years, and in that time have, I hope, helped a number of people faced with unwarranted demands for money from PPCs.

OMG! Please don't let the new forum look be the reason for your departure. Lousy as it is, one would hope they'll improve it as the negative feedback flows in. Come back in a while and see how it is then.
If you are "leaving" for other reasons, and this is just the trigger, then good luck, and vicarious thanks from all those you have assisted.

I've put something similar In the first post thread. It's pretty much unusable for me.Thanks very much BP. I've learned a lot from reading your posts.2

This all a great shame but for my part, I will continue as the parking scammers and legals must be stopped and certainly the methods they use to scam people.
My major complaint is you cannot click on the last post1 -
As many of you will know, my twin brother, The Deep, and I are not in the forefront when it comes to embracing new technology. I am still struggling to programme my VHS machine.
l have just installed Chrome as my new browser thingy, (well I think that I have, how does one know?), but nothing seems to get better, I cannot scroll posts so can only read the first few lines of each post , and then there is the overprinting, making a lot of what I can see unreadable. I am thinking of complaining to my MP, is there a template?
I quite understand DC going, this board is a PITA at the moment, he is a busy man and he has an expensive car to maintain. Best of luck David.

Sad to see you go Bargepole. At least you leave behind your advice on the sticky thread. Thanks.1

Looks like if you simply click the thread title you are taken to the post immediately following the one you last read (using the current forum format), but it doesn't work on those you've previously read (using the old format) until you've manually advanced to the last post and read that, thereafter, I think, it should work. But I may be wrong - try it - like everyone else I'm scratting around trying to find my way. Patience isn't inexhaustible!beamerguy said:This all a great shame but for my part, I will continue as the parking scammers and legals must be stopped and certainly the methods they use to scam people.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes, just noticed that it does indeed jump to the end if you have been there before. What will happen when you log off and on again, who knows. Not logging out yet, taken me nearly 24 hours to get back in!Umkomaas said:

How does one scroll though a post? What about overprinting and quote and thanks buttons appearing mid text?

This happened to me until I discovered that the new forum does not work well (at all) with IE 11, so have had to convert (fully ) to Google Chrome.1
