Morning,
Good point in need of direction, myself and OH are pretty much ok but with DS still growing at a rate of notts it might be worth getting a few bits in the next size just in case. I’m really nervous with the schools reopening we’ll end up in lockdown again as the cold weather comes. I’m in the habit now of add a few freezer / tinned / packet bits to the food shop just in case. Not much to report on the financial side. OH has been paid so payments have been sent to all cards. I’ve had some decent eBay sales, a lot of which I’ve put to one side as both cars are due for service and MOT in the next month - keeping everything crossed they pass!I’ve picked a few bargains up to put away for DS birthday and Christmas. TCB vouchers have been very helpful! I’ve not been into many shops since lockdown began but ventured to the local garden centre at the weekend and was shocked to see they’re getting their Christmas displays ready!Right best crack on and see what today brings - have a good one x1 -
We have also been making sure that we are keeping the cupboards stocked up. If the predictions for Covid are true for this winter then I do believe that we will end up with another national lock down.
When we moved house last year we bought a new american style fridge freezer for the kitchen. Our old 55cm wide fridge freezer was put in the garage. The freezer came in really handy for stocking up on fresh meat during lock down. So much so that we have recently sold it for £60 and put that money towards buying a full size freezer only unit for the garage which should hopefully be delivered on Friday.
We have found it so much more economical to buy half a butchered sheep and half a pig etc. that we plan to continue to buy meat this way. Granted it is a hit to the wallet when we need to stock it up but in the long run it does work out much cheaper.1
