claim twice

Recently Lloyds Bank stated, I had and paid back PPI they said I was owed. This was good until a company I signed up with said Lloyds owed me PPI! Can the company unsuccessfully (as I've already received it) claim for the PPI received then charge me for their services or could I be owed more? I don't want to pay out on money already received

    They can certainly charge you for wasting their time!

    Why on earth did you engage their "services" if you've already  been refunded? 
  • I started the claim with them before LLoyds wrote to me. To be honest I thought LLoyds would have told them this was settled
  • If you'd already engaged them to post your letter for you, then you will need to pay them.
  • Would I need to pay them on settled claims aswell? these surely are dead claims
  • You'll surely pay them for whatever is specified in the contract. I've no idea what a dead claim is.

    If you've been paid for an upheld complaint, you pay them a percentage of that redress.

    Depends on what your contract says. If the complaint was made before you engaged ths company then no, you don't have to pay them for that.

    Not quite correct. 
     If the OP already had successful PPI complaints in the past and then knowingly engaged the Claim Company to make duplicate complaints then the firm would be within their rights to charge for time-wasting.
