Credit file status..

You know the way when you don’t pay a bill for 6 months, the numbers show up on your credit file from 1-6 and then it defaults; I have two accounts from 2016 that went from 1-6 but each month the companies are updating with a 6 and there is no default date.
anyone got any ideas?

Are they still now, as in today updating them monthly & marking them as a 6?1

Just marking them as a 6 every month.I haven’t had any contact with either company.0

Happens sometimes with dormant accounts that for whatever reason are not subject to collection activity.
Try writing to the company and asking for their intentions going forward, are you able to pay this debt ?
If so some kind of settlement deal may be open to you, with credit file clean up as part of the arrangement.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. That’s actually what I was wondering. I’m afraid incase it’s updated with a default for now as opposed to 2016.I think I’ll do that thanks.0
