ESA Severe disablement payments

Hi
I'm on ESA and I get a severe disablement payment as I live alone. I'm considering going to live with a family member who works full-time. Can anyone tell me if I will lose the severe disablement payment if I were to move into their home?

Unless they also claim a qualifying benefit such as PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care then yes, you'll lose the SDP.

In order to get the severe disability premium you have to live alone (with no-one claiming Carer's Allowance for looking after you). The only exception is if every other adult in the property also gets the daily living component of PIP or the middle or higher care component of DLA.1 -

If it's just mobility then you won't qualify for the SDP. As advised, it's daily living PIP or Mid/high rate care DLA.
