Old NatWest accounts

Evening Forumites! 

I signed up to Credit Karma and can see two old NatWest accounts on there, both with a small negative balance. I obviously want to arrange to clear the balance, to help improve my credit history, but have long since lost access online to deal with. 

How can I get access to them to arrange to pay off? I ‘think’ I have the account numbers...
We have no local branch anymore either, so cannot just pop in!
They both went into default in May 2016, but the file shows as being updated in Jan 2020

The problem you'll have over the phone is that unless you know enough information to get past security (including, probably, the entire correct account number & sort code) they can't be sure it's you.

You could try seeing if they'll search for you by name/address & DOB, but it depends if doing that is within their security 'script' or not - they won't be able to deviate, even if they do genuinely think it's you.

Do you have any old paperwork which has the sort code & account number on? You can probably work out the sort-code online if you know the account holding branch and it wasn't a 'central' sort-code.

Alternative would be going to any branch with ID, but depending on where you are in the country, that could be easier said than done!
