DRO - inconsistent credit report
Options
Half way through my DRO some creditors have closed accts others wiped balanced to zero and some are putting on defaults for non payment. I'm really confused as I am aware that the DRO will be on my credit report for 6 years but I don't want a years worth of red defaults on each of my creditors. What should my credit report be showing? I can't find any guidance on this.

Hi,
Forget about your credit report for the time being, it will be a mish mash of conflicting information.
Once you have completed your 12 month moratorium period, then is the time for credit file repair.
The defaults will still be there for 6 years as per normal, but all accounts should be shown as settled or satisfied, with a zero balance owing, and any default should pre-date your debt relief order.
A lot of creditors are unsure about how to mark a file that`s been subject to a DRO, so you have to be pro-active, but only after you are discharged.
Any account not correctly marked, you send a written complain to the creditor explaining the situation, and illustrating how your file should be displayed.
Any problems with this, you refer the matter to the ICO.
