Switching Electric (new house)

Hi everyone, I’ve recently bought a house which was effectively unoccupied before I bought it (second home barely visited). As such the electric bills are all over the place and the switching sites (including the money club on here) can’t provide anything near an accurate quote. The house also has a TwinHeat A programmed meter by ScottishPower who don’t even offer that rate anymore so I’m on a standard 2 rate tarrif.
Questions are:
1. Should I abandon the the dual rate and go for single rate with smart meter?
2. Should I ignore the quotes and just go with the switching service on single rate?
3. should I stick with the high rates for a year and do it after 12 months of living here?
all advice welcome.

Many thanks,

Dont need a years usage just use the averages .Have you signed up with the current supplier as you are in a deemed contract with them .0

No its just that many movers do not realize they are in a deemed contract with the existing property supplier.
