Norton motorbike - deposit refund

Karljames
I paid a deposit on a new Norton motorbike in Nov 2018, with a delivery date of May 2019. I never received the bike and it was continually delayed. The deposit was paid to an independent motorbike dealer and not to Norton directly..
As you've probably seen on the news, Norton has now gone into administration.
Is the dealer obliged to return my deposit, or do i need to chase through the administrators.

Depends upon your contract .What does the paperwork say paid to xx or to Norton .But the vendor is the one usually responsible .0

If you paid the dealer then your contract is with the dealer. Get your deposit refund from them ... if they've paid money to Norton then that's their problem not yours/1
