Switching electricity supplier and smart meter

Our SMART meter was originally supplied by Ovo. Since then we have switched suppliers to E.ON, Affect Energy and Green Network Energy. For all of these we lost the meter-reading functionality.
We then changed to Octopus and the meter-reading works again.
If we change supplier again I would not like to lose this functionality since it actually indicated a sudden increase in usage due to a motor not switching off when it should (a faulty switch).
Is there any published list to indicate which suppliers can respond to the SMETS 1 meters?
