Yes, just hard searches. Sorry, I should have made that clear.RG2015 said:
When you say multiple recent searches do you mean credit application searches?NaughtiusMaximus wrote: »Good advice, other factors which will make you less desirable to lenders are:
Multiple recent searches
High credit utilisation (ie close to your limit on all your credit cards)
No credit history at all
It is not clear here that you don't include soft searches which cannot be seen by potential lenders.1 -

So hence I started looking at my credit file and that's why I was surprised to be told in this site I m classed as good credit rating and the other sites poor . Perhaps I need to find a lender that uses Experian and I'll be ok
I have never used a financial advisor but also have never had any problems getting credit. The first time I had a loan was in 1979 for a car when I was earning about £40 a week. In those days you just asked the bank manager.
My suggestion is to try asking a bank rather than relying on a financial advisor (or indeed a mythical credit score).

They look at the report and handling only. I suggest you look through your file have a look and see how you have handled your accounts, see if you have had any missed payments, look how long ago these were, see how you can improve. Just don't rely on what your score says because that isn't what matters.0
