PPI Tax reclaim

Hi
I'm about to receive a PPI settlement with interest which has been taxed at 20%.
I will be attempting to claim back some of the tax after reading your blog.
I am employed and pay tax under the PAYE system, do I need to wait until I receive my
P60 in April before I can attempt this or can it be attempted on receipt of the settlement?

Thanks.

  • Yes. You will need your P60 details along with details of any other taxable income you have such as normal bank or building society interest or company benefits.
