I can tell you now that what you are looking for in large garden on the edge of a village/town is what a lot of people with a lot more money than you have got are all looking for. If houses in these locations are being sold before they are put onto Rightmove then there is a lot of competition for them. You simply cannot compete with other buyers for these houses you do not have a big enough budget. You are trying to buy homes that are normally sold to 2nd or 3rd time buyers who have bigger deposits and bigger budgets than you have.
You need to compromise. As a first buy you are not going to get a house with a large garden on the edge of a town or village. Start looking at houses that have gardens that you would consider smaller than you would like and nearer to the middle of towns.
