Universal credit living arrangements question..

So I have split with my partner of a long time and we are in the process of moving on.
In order to get a mortgage of the value she would like, she needs universal credit as some major high street banks are offering mortgages which take UC as income..
So our quandary is this..
We have options on living arrangements for the next company g months while she sorts her claim and I want to help such as i can
.
So when it comes to living g arrangement i moved out and I have left all Bill's for her to cover in the original family home.. everything is in my name though.. I have a mortgage on the house..
If she states this will she be refused the UC based on the fact that she is effectively renting from me bit I am the father of our 2 children who will be living with mammy.
She has the option to either move back to her parents with the kids.. or her friend has an empty house which she rents out which she could move I to for a few mo ths before it sells..
What's her best option.. from what I gather ahead would be entitled to.it if she happened to have a mortgage so when she does in a few months all will be ok.. it's the meantime where she needs the universal credit to be accepted for a mortgage.
What do we do for the best..
Thank you..

Just to check.
Are you married?
Is the mortgage in your name only?
Does your partner work? How old are the children?0 -
Hi yes in my name only.. she works 30 hours a week and earn 15k per year.. according to calculator online she is entitled to it, it's just we dont her refused on the basis I cannot give her a tenancy agreement.. to say she is paying mortgage..0

As regards Universal Credit then she would not be entitled to help with mortgage costs until she had been claiming UC for approx. 9 months.
In fact, she has no liability for the mortgage as it is in your name.
She cannot rent from you as this is not allowed under UC so there would be no housing costs awarded in her claim.
So either way, UC would not be paying the mortgage.
Why can't you pay the mortgage? Perhaps in lieu of child support?
I suggest that you both need to get some professional advice moving forward as regarding the splitting of your assets.
I am also confused about what is happening to the marital home. Are you selling it and splitting the proceeds?0 -
So the home was not marital as we were never married. We have had professional advice regarding the split. The splitting of assets has been agreed.
I am staying in my home, although I am willing to move out for a while while she gets on her feet.
She has the option to move out either to parents or to a friends house which is empty..and rent legitimately from them.
I am already helping out financially in other ways. She has agreed to take over the Bill's if she stays here..also I will be renting a place temporarily if she does so i will need to pay for that place too.
We are in an amicable place regarding split at the moment so in regards to having no liability for the mortgage we obviously understand that..0 -

No as his children will be living in the property.
I only found https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/798300/admf2.pdf F2105 which refers to rent paid to somebody who lives in the same accommodation.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Thanks, My apologies if I’m being stupid but I can’t find the guidance that confirms this, do you know where it falls.

You're right it isn't in there, I thought they had kept this rule from HB regs.0 -
