The billing is surpressed, not the payments.
If the bill is correct, you will need to pay it.
Have you got a copy of the COS reads yourself? Always wise to read them when switching for a back up record and you can give them to Eon yourself.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Further to my previous posts I have just spoken to the ARD department at EoN who have said the ARD dispute has not been resolved and Orbit have ignored all emails from EoN apart from the time when Orbit sent over the wrong information.
On this basis Orbit cannot demand payment because the ARD dispute has not been resolved.
So how to deal with Orbit? They have no phone number to ring and only communicate via email which they take upto 2 days to respond. Shall I ignore their demand to pay within 48 hours?0 -
Just to add the same time Orbit sent me their email demanding payment, I logged into my EoN account and found that they had billed me for £76, i asked the ARD guy why they have billed me for £76 when the ARD dispute has not been resolved he said that bill was a mistake and apologised.
Weird coincidence?0 -

Hi just to give an update.
Orbit asked me to give them manual readings from my smart meters, which I sent to them via email. They emailed me back to say my bill was now £3.50 and gave me till 20th February to pay and arrange a DD. I responded by asking them if the ARD has been resolved they have ignored my question and not responded.
I spoke to EoN today who said the ARD has not been resolved and Orbit are ignoring all their emails.
So to pay Orbit or wait till the ARD is resolved?

I understand that number is for Orbits back office operation, the lady who picked up was not impressed and stated “ this is not how things are done”0 -
Hi this has finally been resolved and agreed my final bill is £78.
Can someone clarify if I am due any compensation for my final bill being issued really late? As I understand it a final bill should be issued within 6 weeks after leaving the old supplier. Is that correct?0 -
Not yet in force if the bill itself is late, starts 1 May. Currently there's compo only if the refund takes more than two weeks after the bill is issued.

After complaining to EoN about the length of time it took to issue me with a final bill they have offered me a goodwill gesture of £30 off my final bill. I am pleasantly surprised by this because I thought they would argue that the new law regarding late final bills being issued is not in place, however they were pretty prompt in offering the gesture of goodwill.
Many thanks EoN
