Hi guys

I need some help I'm moving house but the house I'm going to has a pre payment meter with supplier boost and a standard credit Gas meter with ovo

I know dual fuel is cheaper and I want to have both meters as credit meter but I don't know how to go about this as boost only do PAYG and what happens in the interim I. E when I move in?

Set up an account with the current provider on the day you get your keys, the look to switch provider and make sure they can swap from pre-pay to normal meter.

You will have to top up the pre-pay until you get swapped over.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Dual fuel is not necessarily cheaper. In fact I cannot remember the last time I found dual fuel to be cheaper than separate suppliers. I would hedge my bets that separate suppliers on credit meters will be your cheapest option.

If that's the case how do I go about switching the electricity PAYG meter to credit as the current supplier doesn't offer credit meter facilities?

Switch to a PAYG supplier that offers both? Then swap from PAYG to credit.
