    Currys: Just say no.
There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.
  • They wouldn't price match a Smart TV on Amazon. They said that Amazon were not the seller. Their Price Match promise only refers to online sales.
I wanted to buy it from Currys because it would arrive much earlier.
    Purchased from Amazon instead.
    Price Match lie.

Never shop in Curry's - can't be bothered with the extended warranty spiel.  When they finally accept that no means no, they look at you as though you have ripped the bread out of their children's mouths.

And another thread from 2021 gets resurrected - by someone who joined in 2019 and waited untill 2026 to post

The 1st word in the thread title is "Currys"; that about covers it.

You're replying to a 6 year old thread.
Rather than hijack someone else's, very old, thread better to start your own.

And you've responded to the necro-thread to lecture him.
Actually, it shows that 6 years on and the vendor is still behaving the same.
    Which is quite relevant.

Although this might be an old thread, the Curry's price promise probably isn't worth it. My example that has just happened…

ao.com had a microwave on sale, Curry's had the same one but cost a bit more. Had a chat with Curry's yesterday and they agreed and could give me the discount - but the code would be valid from 7:30am today till midnight.

Go to the website today and the price has increased on that same Microwave, and on ao.com the price now matches Curry's - funnily enough the code they gave me doesn't work either.

Seems like Curry's might be able to make other companies increase their price. This is not the first time this scenario has happened to me… maybe you just need to purchase it from the other retailer capture the website or URL and then contact Curry's
