How to cite the Consumer Rights in a complaint?

I am writing a complaint to Ring Doorbell. They are based in the US however I made my purchase in the UK.
I know in the UK there is the Citizens Advice Bureau.
In the US, there is something called BBB.
At the end of my complaint letter to Ring, I want to remind them of my rights.
Can someone help me on how to state this in a complaint letter please?
At the moment i have written the following but i really don't think it makes any sense:
I would like to remind you of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which provides consumers on purchased products/services. From the UK perspective we can take this through an ADR process as per advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau. Alternatively, lodge a follow up with BBB Better Business Bureau in the US.
Thank you

Personally I don't think it is helpful to start citing legislation or laws or bureaus unless you know what you are talking about. It doesn't add much to your complaint.
If this is just a complaint, better to just stick to the facts and give the organisation an opportunity to put things right before going down the legal route.
The reality is that the organisation is not going to engage with ADR unless they are legally required to do so. Referring to both the CAB and the BBB starts muddling things.1 -
What do you actually want from Ring? A replacement? Repair? refund?
Have you actually contacted them and have they refused to help?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
Where did you buy from?
How long ago?
What is the problem?
Might well be something that the retailer should be dealing with, not the manufacture.Life in the slow lane1 -
Don't even mention the BBB.
You're a consumer in the UK, the contract was to be performed in the UK, and you want to claim UK jurisdiction. Don't give Ring even a sniff of defending any claim in the US.
However, unless you bought direct from Ring or are claiming under a manufactirer's warranty, you probably need to proceed against the retailer.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.1 -
I'm guessing you bought from their website.
As others say, concentrate on explaining the problem, and explaining the outcome you are looking for (refund, replacement, repair).
If you think they've "breached the contract" and you paid by credit card (and other requirements are met), you can make a section 75 claim against the credit card company instead.
But according to their website your contract is formed under Californian Law - so they would have needed to breach contract terms under Californian law.
(e.g. UK law has implied contract terms about "fitness for purpose" etc, Californian law may not have that.)1
