Quick update:
1. Received Virgin Card with £10000
2. Waiting for Egg Card - £15000
3. Applied for NatWest - possible £8999 - not sure I will proceed with this one
4. Currently have Halifax Platinum Visa, credit limit £7450 - just spoke to Halifax about changing this card to Halifax One (0 % for 12 months) - they are sending forms to me in the post to upgrade current card to Halifax One.
If all goes to plan, I will have stoozed £41,000 in a month or so - another £13,000 & I will have wiped out my interest on my offset mortgage a/c.0 -
Quick update:
1. Received Egg Card (£15,000) - £14,100 on it's way to my OneAccount (£50 transfer fee).
2. Still waiting for Natwest Card
3. Waiting for Halifax One card (upgrade from Platinum).0 -
Quick update:
1. Received Natwest Card - Limit £3350, though I applied for £8999 & you can only transfer 75% of the limit, not happy with the limit but better than a kick in the teeth.
2. Waiting for Halifax One card (upgrade from Platinum)
3. Waiting a few weeks now before applying for any more cards, just received a letter from MBNA offering 0% for 9 months.
4. Current stooze pot stands at £23,000 after 6 weeks.
5. Just paid minimum payment for Virgin card, only £5.00 amazing.
6. This is just too easy ! For those of you thinking about stoozing, start now.0 -
Quick update:
1. Requested balance transfer with Natwest this morning, they immediately offered to increase my limit to £4000 which I accepted, the 75% limit does not apply to balance transfers & there is no fee. Transferred £4000 to my stooze pot.
2. Still waiting for Halifax One card.
3. Last balance transfer of £14,100 from Egg to OneAccount just appeared on my OneAccount statement, did it via the OneAccount VISA card (appears as RBS Visa on Egg statement).
4. Current stooze pot stands at £28,000 - will save £140 per month on my offset mortgage.
5. Don't get stung with Virgin who clearly state they will take the first direct debit AFTER the first statement, so the first minimum payment will have to be made manually.
6. Just received 1st statement from Egg, direct debit is in place to take care of minimum payment but I will phone them to confirm the date they will be debiting my account.
7. Waiting a few weeks before I apply for another card.
8. Just applied for 30 day trial credit rating report (I will cancel of course) from Experian, want to make sure there is nothing on my report that may adversily affect my ability to obtain credit.0 -
Not sure what you mean here? Isn't this how they all operate? ie produce a statement telling you what your balance is and when the (minimum) payment will be taken? This is how my Virgin card operates anyway.thaylock wrote:5. No need to phone them - you can check when the DD will be called "online".thaylock wrote:6. Just received 1st statement from Egg, direct debit is in place to take care of minimum payment but I will phone them to confirm the date they will be debiting my account.
Just one final thing - it's great that you're keeping this diary for others to see just how easy stoozing can be. However, if your name is T Haylock, and if the CC companies read these forums, they may be able to spot you as a stoozer - especially if you're quoting exact figures. I mean, a £14.1K BT is a "bit" precise now isn't it?
Then again I could just be paranoid?0 -
Good point Yorkshire boy, but my name isn't T Haylock0

Just that I read a post from somebody who didn't make minimum payment because the direct debit instruction wasn't in force to pay the minimum payment for the first statement.0 -
This thread is a little old. Can someone confirm that the oneaccount visa card can still be used as a mule? Thank You.thaylock wrote:The OneAccount issue 2 cards, Maestro & Visa, does anyone know which card I can use to transfer a balance from another credit card ? Thanks.

Those with red bullets next to them can be used as mules - cannot see OneAccount listed.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0
