Cardiff airport car parking - Cartel!!!

I have tried every car park firm for Cardiff airport, practically the same to the penny!
That's my definition of a cartel, perhaps others may disagree? Or is it the same at all airports?

Cardiff is a comparatively small airport so presumably less competition than the large ones. That would mean less incentive to undercut other operators. Proving that to be a cartel could be very difficult.0

Yes, there's really only one car park there, plus a pub a couple of miles away that does a good shuttle service and is a fair bit cheaper than onsite. It's not a cartel as there are not different providers conspiring to fix their prices.
There are a couple of nearby hotels that might offer parking packages but I don't think they offer parking-only deals.0 -
Meet & greet parking can often be cheaper than the main car park.
Don't be fooled by the meet & greet name, no-one greets you at all. You go to a booth to hand in your key and retrieve it from the same place on departure. It is marginally nearer to the terminal building.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages, student & coronavirus Boards, money saving boards. I don't think its a case of it being a small airport (I think I'm right in saying it has one of the longest runways in the UK) but not many operators fly out of there, the access to the airport is abysmal and as such people would rather go to Bristol.0 -
The length of runway has no bearing on the current importance of the airport. Look at Doncaster/Sheffield as another decent example0

Despite living in Bristol I much prefer flying from Cardiff.
Toby carvery less than a mile from the airport for a cheap meal before the flight, parking much cheaper than Bristol, no 20 minute walk to the gates, plenty of seating in departures, no huge delays at passport control/ luggage reclaim when flying back in.
The list goes on!
OP - as previously mentioned, it's not a cartel, it's just that there are hardly any alternatives to the on-site parking.0
