I dont understand - no info on ticket

I was parked on an little housing estate. The road is a public road. I am not blocking anyone.
Placed on my car was a flat yellow yellow penalty charge notice sticker which says please do not ignore. There is nothing else attached to it - was there supposed to be.

What do I do?

Does the envelope say "penalty" or "parking"?

Did it say Penalty Charge Notice" or "Parking Charge Notice"? If there is nothing attached to the sticker, you haven't ignored it, you've done exactly what it asked you to do - nothing!
  • It says Penalty Charge Notice. There is no envelope. A flat sticker on the windscreen.

Sounds like it is from a railway station, is there one nearby? Maybe someone is taking the p155.
  • Thank you for your replies.
I do hope it is just that.
My wheels were not on the pavement. I wasn't restricting anyone's driveway or doorway. Not obstructing any vehicles from passing - a refuse truck can get passed.
    Just seems very odd.
