When to worry about cracks?

Our 1930's home was plastered throughout around a year and a half ago. I noticed small thin cracks in the walls which I'm guessing is from the plaster. But now I've noticed a bigger, more noticeable crack in the ceiling in the entrance way from our dining room to kitchen (the kitchen is an extension) above this is the corner of our upstairs landing. Should I be worried about this one? Does anyone know whats causing it?IMG-20200204-144223.jpg

Looking at the cracks, looks just like superficial plaster cracks. Just keep a eye on them if they expand and deepen. Cracks can appears due to plaster drying out and also losing adhesion to the surface below it.

Hairline cracks after plastering are not uncommon. I suspect that one is caused by slight flexing of the floor at the top of the stairs. I would be inclined to fill the cracks and repaint.

Skimmed over the original lime plaster ?
If the old plaster was blown and/or cracked, then these cracks will propagate through any fresh gypsum plaster slapped on top. Putting mesh tape over the cracks and mixing fibres in to the plaster will limit some of the cracking, but there is a good chance that they will reappear at some point.

Similar experience here and agree with all the comments. Some parts of our house the plaster was really bad so it was fully re plastered there -- no cracks so far. Other parts where mesh tape and top skim were applied, many have developed cracks..
