There's a charge [Black horse Finance] on my partners house that she's sold. The solicitor has been trying for months to get figures off the chargeholder and agreement to discharge it upon sale etc...and been passed from pillar to post.
So much so that we are now in real danger of the sale collapsing...
Any advice on how to light a fire under them???

Presumably she hasn't yet actually sold it? Has she gone through the complaints procedure at the lender?0

After the first few weeks of no joy I would be calling Blackhorse myself and not put the phone down until I had the information I needed.
"The solicitor has been trying for months"...does that mean they have written a couple of letters every 4 weeks with no answers or tried calling BH's customer service number a handful of times and no one answered the telephone or couldnt be bothered to go through the automated menus to speak to a human?0
