Complaining about a course

I signed-up for a distance learning course that has been shockingly bad and has not lived up to what it promised at all. What are the official routes I can take to raise a grievance and try to get my money back? I have complained to the MD of the provider but have no faith that they will take my complaint seriously.
TIA!

Is it a qualification that is overseen by another body, such as city and guilds?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Unfortunately not, but they do work on behalf of a leading software provider, so I can guess I can always complain to them too.

There are an awful lot of dodgy providers of these sort of courses.
    Due diligence.

Can you give us a link to them at all.
Why did you choose a course without an awarding body.
