If they thought i was not paying enough during the winter months why wait until now to bump my DD up,it could have been sorted if they had let me know earlier that they thought my usage was more than i was paying forI have also asked the Housing association to check my thermostat, as my heating even in the freezing weather is not kicking in until i put it at least to 20 dgI have in the past been able to leave it at 15 and the heating has come onMaybe it's the thermostat at fault,i don;t knowI do think the monthly DD was set too low though to start with, but the readings from my previous supplier were given to them,so proved what i had normally used in the pastMy worry is that i will now have a bad credit rating as a bad payer, and at the moment it is good0

You want the heating to kick in at about16 degrees
So your home stays at about that temperature0 -

The thermostat will only come on when the temperature drops below a certain temperature. It has been mild this winter which is probably why your thermostat isn't kicking in as much as previous colder winters. If it is 20 degrees in the house and you have it set to 20 then it won't come on. At the moment with the milder weather our heating is only coming on for ten minutes in the morning, it isn't coming on in the evening at all.
You will not get a bad credit rating provided you keep making your payments. Ring your supplier and discuss your options but they will want you to pay down any debt owing usually over a 12 month period.0
