Most of what is in the cellar is Port dating from between 1963 and 2007. Not sure I'd want to bring a whole case.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
Has it got a proper shop seal?
Reason I say that I was watching Antiques roadshow the other day and somone brought in an ancient wine bottle, but the contents was very unpleasant, it was someone's urine.
Apparently in ancient times people used to keep urine in the loaf or celler to ward off nasty spirits.
So be careful if your tasting or drinking it.0 -
Sorry loft or celler0

Was it lying on its side (good) or upright (bad)?
If it was upright the chances are that the cork will have dried out and allowed air in that will have oxygenated the wine and degraded or even ruined it.
If it was lying on its side it might still be on good condition.

This is what I was going to say, but failing all else, give it a sniff then a taste! Some people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0 -

Believe that and you'll believe anything. Grapes for the general consumer market are pressed in massive quantities so the end market would not be identifiable at the pressing stage.0 -
When I cleared my mum’s house I found a couple of bottles of wine, probably 5-10 years old. Opened them up, vinegar would have tasted better.0
