Well I can offer some advice on what not to do - and that is to try a new foundation from Poundland in the vague hope that it will be anywhere near as good as your regular (see my recent Grabbit post, not yet worked out how to quote across threads or link to other posts).
A total false economy. I'm much better to carry on mixing my foundation 1:1 with moisturiser (the Olay one I am using atm suits me well, and comes with the additional advantage of costing £2 for 50ml - a Boots discount-stacking hack). Lip, blush and eye colours are often good value but I really wouldn't mess with my preferred base product again. They cost a lot but also generally last a lot longer than 3 months an item with everyday use so makes the cost per day perfectly acceptable. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
I had been using drug store foundations for years and then my mum told me about the estee lauder doublewear foundation and now I will never use anything else. Its about 3x more expensive but its lasts me so much longer than the cheaper brands! The smallest amount goes a long way, and stays on all day! So I would definitely choose to invest in a higher end product as it actually saves me money in the long run!0
