Closing Santander 123 account and keeping credit card

How easy will it be to close my joint (with my wife) Santander 123 account and will I still be able to access my Santander credit card account online?
Or should I just open an Everyday current account and leave it with a nominal balance?
I am going to transfer my DDs back to the account where my pensions are paid in to save transferring money all the time to make my banking simple as my DDs will only be making me £2.00 a month in the 123 lite account.

I believe the 123 Credit Card requires a 123 account. Is it a 123 Credit Card you have?0

It is a Santander Zero credit card0

I've never had a Santander credit card without a current account so can't answer your question. In your shoes I'd either read the T&Cs or drop them a secure message for the answer. You may have already done the latter?0

It would be best to contact Santander's social media team on Twitter. Their handle is @santanderukhelp0

Hi your online banking will still work in the same way minus the current account if you decide to close it you will be able to access the online banking using the existing details there no need to have an active current account to have online banking0

Santander zero is not a 123 account so I don't think you have to keep a 123 current account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
