AP Marker

Hi all,
Last year I had 3 AP markers recorded against me, was just a final utility bill before moving that I split over 3 months. I only did this because I was told by Eon (the company) specifically that it would have no impact at all on my credit score - at the time I didn’t know about AP markers so trusted Eon.
So now I’ve realised it has been recorded I called them to complain, ideally to have them removed but at the very least so they can investigate the incorrect information their payments team gave to me.
They are now saying the payments were late because the standing order was set up to go out on the 1st which on one occasion fell on a weekend.
So now I’m worried they’re going to change them from AP to late! :-( they are investigating at the moment which can take 5 days. I wish I’d never contacted them, plus their customer service is absolutely shocking.
My question is, now the account is settled and I’d never missed a payment (other than the standing order going out on a working day) - are they able to do this?
I’m applying for a mortgage and got a DIP approved with them on there so I guess I shouldn’t be too concerned but can’t help but feel it is unfair.
Thanks

I should add that the standing order payment that fell on a weekend ended up going out the next working day which was the 3rd.0

Banks never take standing orders/direct debits, on a weekend, its always the working day after, or before in some cases.
Its not the end of the world in credit file terms, and should not impact on your mortgage application.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
