I think someone drank my vinegar

I needed to decant it into something smaller than the gallon container it came in so temporarily decanted it into a Lambrini bottle. When I came to use some today it seemed to have gone down a lot further than I remembered. That must have come as a shock

well i guess you wouldn't notice much difference in taste between lambrini and vinegar! i guess what it does to your stomach will be roughly the same as well! :beer:0

It points up the lesson though that if you put something other than the normal product in a bottle or container you should re-label it very clearly.
This was a humourous episodeBut supposing it had been paint thinners or weed killer. There's no one here but me and I still make sure I label stuff so I don't absentmindely pick up the wrong thing.

Believe me Squeaky, even I'm not daft enough to decant anything harmful into a wine bottle!
And the daftest thing is that everyone was out in the kitchen when I did it and I warned them all what I was doing!!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

LOL
I'm sure you're not that daft, and I hope that nobody on here would be. But it has been known to happen so I thought I'd say a word on safety.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Just feed whoever drank it with small cucumbers... they'll feel like they've eaten a jar of gherkins...I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0

It sounds like somebody could have absent mindedly poured themselves a glass of wine, taken a sip, realised it was vinegar_pale_ :eek:and was toooooo ashamed/frightened to tell you  and quickly threw it away :shhh: ...... thinking you woud never notice the difference in levels ....I hope they at least sent the rest of the vinegar down the sink to give it good quick clean :rotfl:0
