Gas meter

We use a separate gas meter for the business. When we stop using gas we naturally continue to pay a standing charge. This year we are retiring and closing the business in July. The last use of gas will be (weather permitting) April . Can we just tell the supplier to end the contract for this meter in April (no point in paying standing charge when not in use) whilst still keeping the supplier on for the time being for house gas and electricity?
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

It's worth a phone call to confirm what the procedure is.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
