^I'm no expert i'm afraid: I would suspect some of it is sentiment (as you quite rightly say) and some of it is also funds balancing their books at the year-end (they would like to give the impression to investors that they are loading up on shares).BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? :shocked: OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? A spokesman from Severn Investment on Working Lunch today said that he thinks the interest rate might be reduced next week and he also thinks todays rallies are due to buying opportunities. He said many of the footsie shares are now cheap. Be interesting to see if he is right.0

I wasn't giving advice and always do my own thing anyway. I was just repeating something I'd heard on a programme I respect but it is only one man's opinion. My favourite guest on that programme is David Buick.0
