Hatchback with Large Boot

Hyundai i30 2nd gen definitely worth a look in .. can't speak for 3rd gen but i'm sure it's similar.
Well reviewed for having one of the biggest boots in their class.0 -
nb most cars offer the option to fold just 1 rear seat, (usually split 60/40), so this may allow you to leave the child seat in place but still drop the remaining seat for more space?
If you do go Octavia I can recommend the 1.4 tsi petrol engine....very smooth and quiet with good performance and economy...0 -
We've had 5-door (aren't they hatchbacks?) Avensis and Mondeo. Can fit two full sets of golf clubs, two shoe bags, holdall with two sets of golf clothes (+ waterproofs), and one fold-up trolley, plus room left over in the boot. No effect on rear seats.
I'm sure the Octavia would cope easily too. Looked at one a few years ago and had the salesman sit in the front with the seat right back, and then he could still comfortably sit in the rear seat with adequate knee room. (My BiL is very tall and I wanted to test knee room - the salesman was 6' 6" and I was amazed how easily he got in the rear seats). Looked a good sized boot, too.0 -

I think the OP has more than one child seat based on the wording in the first post.
My new Passat Estate has a central folding seat (40:20:40) which is handy as you can fit things through even with two passengers. Boot is massive anywayMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -
Thanks for all the feedback. As I am used to VW models, I will have a look at the new Octavia when it is released - although the dealerships are a bit spread out.0

Once you get it just take it to any VAG garage to get it serviced. The engines are all the same across all 4 brands:beer:Those who risk nothing, Do nothing, achieve nothing, become nothingMFW #63 £0/£5000 -

Hi, I have a MK4.5 Mondeo and the boot is ludicrously big. Loads of toys, great to drive and really good on fuel! I couldn't believe how big the boot was when I first opened it at the garage.
We went on holiday last year and easily fit 4 adults, 4 suitcases and 4 x hand luggage in the car. Me and my partner went away to Cumbria with the dog last October and managed to fit all this in the car : one large husky, two suitcases, a weeks food shopping, my large road bike, a playstation 4 and several crates of beer! Haha and this was with the whole back seats taken up with the dog.0
