Moving to Eastleigh (Hampshire) - Advice needed!

Hi,
I will be moving to Eastleigh by last week of December '07 and looking for a rental property.. Being an moneysaver, I am looking for a 1 Bed flat/apartment in good residential areas in Eastleigh - 20 mins walking distance from Templars way, Eastleigh (Bournemouth Rd End)..
My basic requirement would be..
1. It should be 15-20 walking distance from Town-centre and a supermarket like (Tesco, Morrisons etc.)
2. It should be far away from pubs, bars to avoid noise on Thursdays, Fridays..
3. Preferably furnished
4. In Residential area.
5. Max Rent £575 PCM
6. I would like to have it directly from Landlord (not willing to pay hefty brokerage to letting agents).
Can anybody guide me on this and also suggest me some good residential areas I should concentrate??

My office is in Eastleigh, but I don't have anything to do with lettings, I'm afraid so can't help you there.
Although part of Eastleigh Borough, the locals who live round there are very particular to call the area Chandlers Ford as it distinguishes it from Eastleigh itself which is supposedly not so upmarket.
Templars Way leads up to a roundabout that has a huge Asda with its car park coming off it, so 24 hour shopping would be near your work!
Unless you are able to find something in the Echo, the local paper, I think you are going to have to go to a lettings agency, simply because even if this forum is read by thousands of people, the likelihood of it being read by someone who has a suitable flat to let in Chandlers Ford is quite small.RICHARD WEBSTER

Hi, I live near Eastleigh but am no expert on lettings etc. To be honest I wouldn't consider anything in the town itself, theres loads of binge drinking youngsters etc around at night. Chandlers Ford may be slightly more expensive but theres a large newish housing estate near Asda so you should be able to get a nice rental property there somewhere. Valley Park as maninthestreet suggested.
