we have sky and their customer service is pants but when you manage to get hold of them its ok. we have sky+ and a multi room (grown up kids who refuse to leave home) and the last time it went wrong i phoned them to say we no longer wanted the multi room. they immediatly sent round an engineer who couldn't fix it and so left us a new box(free). in the past have also had several free months and got the movie channel free for 3 months. they REALLY don't like to lose a customer.:jLBM-2003ish

I have a Virgin "Very Impressive Package" for £85 per month. This includes:
Virgin+ box (recordable) in main room.
Virgin standard digital box (non recordable) in main bedroom.
All available TV channels including sports & Setanta & all sky films.
Free landline calls at all times. It does NOT include calls to mobiles.
Fastest available broadband (currently 10 megs, soon to be raised to 20 megs, I believe).
I too have had no problems with either box or system crashing. The only problem I've encountered was when they installed the V+ box & the Engineer or the person who received the call at Virgin punched in the wrong code number & we were stuck with only the basic channels. Having phoned them, they came out & rectified the problem within 48 hours.
I was quite annoyed when we first lost Sky one, but having got used to not having it, I now realise that I hardly ever watched it apart from Simpsons & Star Trek. Sad or what?????Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)
