Cant work it out, which is best overall
Options
i thought i was reasonably clued up, but i just cant get my head around the best utility provider and would value any input.
Currently i take Gas, elec, phone & broadband all via Utilities warehouse (telecom plus).
The main tie in that causes me confusion is the fact that i get broadband, ALL landline calls 7 days a week and the line rental for £20 a month, providing i have the gas and elec as well. So, if you consider line rental is £11, you could say i am getting the broadband and tel. calls for just £9 a month. I cant seem to better that, well not with unlimited broadband anyway.
Using the various check sites it appears i can get cheaper gas/elec, but all gains are wiped out when i start looking at replacing the phone/broadband bit, especially if i have to start paying line rental to BT.
Do we ahve anyone else who has done a better job of working out the differnece with utilities warehouse who can help?

Well from the telecoms point of view, go back to BT and sign up for Direct Debit and paperless billing and telecom line rental is £10.50 per month including calls up to 60 minutes to 01/02 numbers at evenings and weekends for 5p. Add 18185 for no extra cost and all 01/02 calls routed via that are 5p per call at anytime (including during the daytime). Broadband packages start from £10 or so at worst and Be Unlimited up to 8mbps is £14 per month for instance. Why not take that as a starting point for the telecoms price and do a comparison on the utility side using one of the switching site links in this forum?0
