Help needed

I was advised to go down the IVA route but I wasn't too comfortable with the idea of losing all my credit options and having to remortgage after 54 months.

Who suggested this?

IVA for a property owner is a way to go* but can't see why a remortgage would be introduced to that equation. It certainly isn't a "mainstream" idea in that it converts unsecured credit card debt to secured debt on your family home. Name and shame.

* ..but a DMP is better.

BUT that link doesn't say you will lose the property.
Maybe Stokie has misunderstood what they were told or the advisor gave wrong info.

You love your children and they love you way way way more than to the tune of £18 grand! This can be fixed. Absolutely. Don't do anything silly. Think how amazing you will feel when you are debt free. It's fantastic and it WILL be you!
