CCJ hitting six year point

Hi folks,
I was handed a CCJ back on 21st Feb 2014 and was paid off on 7th June 2019 I keep hearing about this six year rule, what happens once it hits six years from the original date? does it 'disappear' or am I destined to see the entry for the rest of my life?

It drops off your credit history 6 years after it was received.
You still need to declare it after it drops off if you are asked "if you have ever had a CCJ".
Six years is a long time when waiting for it to drop off, but four years after it was put on its impact is lower (so I've experienced).Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Strictly speaking it should drop off the next time your file is updated. There could be a small lag during which it will still be visible.0

Any ideas why??
Because if you are asked you have to answer truthfully or risk it.
I've been declaring mine with my car insurance, checking the company is fine with me having one and then proceeding with the policy. Not all insurance companies will insure people with CCJs. Some will take it to their underwriter and ask before saying yes.
If the question is "do you have a CCJ" then that answer would be no, when it drops off your credit history.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -

Surely having a CCJ ...no matter what the age is bad ?0 -

You do not have to declare a county court judgement after it has expired, the 6 year rule is there for a reason.
I’ve never seen a form that asks you that one anyway.

My house sale has been stopped due to a 15 yr old CCJ that I can not explain and I can not look into as credit reports only go back 6 years. To say old CCJs don’t matter is obviously not the truth and I have lost my buyer and have no idea what to do!!0
