I've tried RM price finder, tubes don't exist or are priced in this case as a large parcel (over £12?). Does anyone know the price of sending a second class tube sized 70cm with a diameter of 8cm or circumference of 25cm, weight 549g. Thanks

Surely its doesnt matter its a tube?

Did there used to be separate prices for tubes and printed papers or even LP records?Surely its doesnt matter its a tube?

The item is in its original tube posted in 2007 costing £2.88.
Royal mail guides mention tubes separately but don't state they are priced as per parcels. Stating this would help.0 -
From RM website for a medium parcel - Max dimensions: Length + twice the diameter must be 104cm or less
No one dimension can exceed 90cm.0 -

Yes it does matter as there is specific criteria for tubes. To class as a medium parcel, the following applies:
For rolled and cylinder shaped parcels, the length of the item plus twice the diameter must not exceed 104cm, with the greatest dimension being no more than 90cm.0 -
Thanks. Can I ask where you found that? My price guide states "For rolled and cylinder shaped parcels, the length of the item plus twice the diameter must not exceed 104cm, with the greatest dimension being no more than 90cm" but it doesn't state tubes within these sizes are charged as medium parcels.£5.75 first class, £5.05 second class.

Edit, just found it here, https://www.royalmail.com/rmg-help/pf/Medium_Parcel_helpicon. No idea why they don't state this on the price guides.
It should certainly be an option on their online price finder.0
